A man and a woman, both of Meadville are jailed, awaiting preliminary hearings, the result of an alleged methamphetamine making operation at a Meadville residence. According to online court records Aaron Mason and Erica Smith, both 38 years of age, are charged with Felony Possession of Red Phosphorus, etc with Intent to Manufacture a Controlled Substance, Felony 3 Deposits, stores and or disposes chemical waste and M Intentional Possession of a Controlled Substance By a Person Not Registered to do so.
Authorities report a house in the 700 block of Davenport Street in Meadville was the subject of a Meadville City Police Department Search Warrant early Wednesday afternoon. Once inside, the police found evidence the two were manufacturing meth. The city police called in the Pennsylvania State Police Clandestine Lab team to help with the search and decontaminate the scene.
According to online court records, Erica Rae Smith was arraigned Thursday afternoon before Magisterial District Judge Samuel v. Pendolino. She is set for a preliminary hearing on Friday March 10th before Judge Pendolino and is currently lodged in the Crawford County Correctional Center unable to make $50,000 bail. Smith is not yet represented by an Attorney.
Online Court records also indicate Aaron Ray Mason appears to be awaiting arraignment and a preliminary hear while lodged at the Crawford County Correctional Facility.
